Retractable ID Badge Holder
If you have to use a security badge to get into doors at work, a retractable ID badge holder is a good device to use. Your badge or ID can connect to the end of the holder so that it can be retracted and swiped easily to get into doors.
If not for security, it’s an easy device to show your id. The badge holding mechanism will hold your ID so that you can show it quickly if needed and won’t have a chance of losing it as the device is connected to your belt.
When you look to buy a device like this, generally it’s a good idea to not get the cheapest retractable ID badge holder possible.
Get one that has a steel or metal cord and cable device so that is doesn’t snap. Some of the nylon and plastic ones break way too easily especially with daily use.
Make sure that you get a retractable device that actually has some length to it. Most will be around 2 feet which is enough. Some of the cheap ones are only 1 foot making them pretty pointless.
The attachment might be important to you. Some just slide onto the belt while others have firm clips that will hold on much better.
